  1. This directory contains sample policy files and a sample custom 
  2. policy template for Windows 95 networks
  3.  
  4. *  MAXIMUM.POL contains suggested policies for maximum network 
  5. and desktop security. 
  6.  
  7. *  STANDARD.POL contains suggested policies for moderate network 
  8. and desktop security. 
  9.  
  10. *  SAMPL1.ADM shows definitions of all custom controls that can 
  11. be defined in .ADM files.  
  12.  
  13. You can load the .POL files in System Policy Editor to view and 
  14. change contents. To implement the custom settings specified in 
  15. the STANDARD.POL policy file, you must replace the placeholders
  16. for custom folders with the correct UNC path names for the network
  17. location that contains your custom folders for Programs, 
  18. Startup, Network Neighborhood, and Start Menu.

  20. You can also view SAMPL1.ADM using System Policy Editor.
  21. This sample file is provided only for examining how such 
  22. files are created. It is not intended as a source for managing policies.
